Who was Shimelis Belay?
Shimelis Belay lived for Christ. He trusted and submitted to God’s plan until his departure. He was very loving, kind, responsible, extremely honest, humble, generous, principled, hardworking and most of all he believed in education and sharing his knowledge. Over the years, Shimelis has had a tremendous influence upon numerous lives.
From the family he cherished, to the friends that admired and respected him, his life serves as an inspiration to others. We hope the Shimelis Belay’s Memorial Scholarship Fund will continue his legacy by providing underprivileged students the opportunity to reach their potential
Our Mission
The Shimelis Belay Memorial Scholarship Fund is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission of raising funds in order to provide financial assistance by way of educational scholarships to students from under-privileged communities in Ethiopia. Donations are tax deductible.
